Thalians Support UCLA's Operation Mend Program

A $300,000 donation was presented by The Thalians on Aug. 29 to UCLA's Operation Mend. The  program provides reconstructive plastic and orthopaedic surgery, as well as neurological, psychiatric and sociopsych services to severely wounded veterans returning from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. It is done in collaboration with Brooke Amy Medical Center and the Greater Veteran's Administration, Los Angeles.  The Thalians, led by Ruta Lee, Chairman of the Board and Debbie Reynolds, President, raised the funds to focus on the mental health needs of America's Wounded Warriors through an event held at the Playboy Mansion. The Thalians' chose UCLA Operation Mend as the honoree benefactor of their 2011 event because of its mission to heal America's returning military  heroes.... in body, mind, and spirit.
