UCLA's Hardie Wins Pac-10 Singles Tennis Title in Ojai
The sophomore captures the Invitational singles division and reaches the doubles final in tennis competition.
UCLA sophomore won the Pacific 10 men's Invitational singles tennis title and reached the finals of the doubles championship division Sunday at the 111th in Ventura County.
Hardie defeated fellow sophomore Walker Kehrer of Stanford, 6-4, 6-2, in the Invitational singles division final Sunday morning at Libbey Park, then had only one hour to rest before teaming with in the doubles final.
The Bruins duo had upset top-seeded Bradley Klahn and Ryan Thacher of Stanford, 9-7, in the semifinals Saturday, but fell 6-1, 6-2 to No. 2-seeded Raymond Sarmiento and Steve Johnson of USC on Sunday afternoon.

In the Pac-10 women's Invitational doubles division, the second-seeded Bruins tandem of and lost 8-6 in the finals to top-seeded Lindsay Kintsler and Danielle Lao of USC.
In the Pac-10 men's main draw, freshman lost in the semifinals to top-seeded Steve Johnson of USC, 6-2, 6-2. Puget and sophomore , seeded No. 4, lost to Johnson and Sarmiento 8-3 in the semifinals of the doubles draw.
