Free High Holiday Services

During This Time of Year, The Gates OF Heaven Are Open To All, So Are Ours

Chabad of Century City will be running High Holiday services for the Century City-West-side  Jewish Community. The services will be held at the Century Plaza Hotel. The services are open to all. There is no charge to join the service and no membership necessary. (For more information visit www.jewishcenturycity.com)


The two-day holiday of Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) begins This Sunday night, September 16.

Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year, begins the night of Sepember 25. 
 
Chabad's services are "user-friendly," making it enjoyable and meaningful for both the beginner and the advanced.  Song, commentary and the use of English-Hebrew prayerbooks, enable those of all backgrounds to become active participants in the services . 
 
 Rosh Hashana Evening services will be held on Sunday night, September 16th  at 6:00pm. Morning  Shofar services will be held on September 17th and 18th beginning at 10 am. During morning services, both days, the Shofar will be sounded at 12:15pm. 


Yom Kippur Kol Nidre service will begin on Tuesday September 25 at 6:15 pm, and on September 26h at 10:00am.

The services are arranged by Chabad of Century City under the leadership of Rabbi Tzemach and Ada Cunin. The Cunins co-direct Chabad of Century City, a local group dedicated to provide local Jewish resources to the Jewish Community. Chabad offers a wide array of appealing opportunities for people to access their tradition through classes, holiday events, family and children’s programs and more.
 
The services are open to all. While reservations are not necessary, they are appreciated. Prayer books and Kipas are provided.
