Bruin Basketball Next Season Will Be at Sports Arena

The team is being forced on the road due to the renovation of Pauley Pavilion.

The UCLA men's basketball team will play the bulk of its home games next season at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena adjacent to the campus of its arch-rival USC, the university confirmed Friday.

The team is being forced on the road due to a $136 million renovation project at its usual Westwood home, Pauley Pavilion.

The Bruins will play 14 "home'' games at the Sports Arena, four at Honda Center in Anaheim and one exhibition game at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

"We will make the Sports Arena a great environment for our fans and our team,'' UCLA Athletic Director Dan Guerrero said. "We will bring our championship banners and will paint our colors as much as possible in the interiors of the building, including the basketball court, to make it our home away from home.

"For the fans, there is ample secured parking adjacent to the facility,'' he said. "Our staff will be working with the Sports Arena management to create a fun, fan-friendly atmosphere inside and outside the facility for the upcoming season.''
