Reclaiming Sexuality: A Roadmap for Cancer Survivors and Partners

Join Beth Leedham, PhD, clinical psychologist and certified sex therapist specializing in sexuality after cancer, who discusses how cancer survivors and their partners can reestablish intimacy and develop a revitalized sexual connection. Sexual problems among cancer survivors are very common and can have a major impact on quality of life for them and their partners. However, the experience of surviving cancer can also provide a unique opportunity from which to explore, expand, and deepen romantic and sexual intimacy. This lecture discusses ways in which cancer and cancer treatments can affect sexuality and illustrates how biological, psychological, and social interventions can help survivors and their partners reclaim their sex lives.
