Westwood BID Meeting to Be Held Thursday

The Westwood Village Improvement Association Board of Directors will appoint a new board member and weigh a draft 2013 budget.

The Westwood Village Improvement Association Board of Directors will meet at 8:30 a.m. Thursday to discuss local issues affecting Westwood Village.

The BID is an established area in which Westwood businesses or property owners pay an added tax to finance local improvements such as street clean-up.

The Westwood BID is governed by a 14-member Board of Directors made up of property owners, merchants and a UCLA representative. It receives $1.3 million annually from assessments on 120 properties within the District, according to the BID's website.

Thursday's meeting will be held at Skylight Gardens, 1139 Glendon Ave.
