Copper wire was stolen earlier this month during a burglary at a construction site in Westwood, adding to a list of dozens of copper wire theft incidents reported in the area since last July.
The burglary occurred between 5 p.m. March 1 and 8 a.m. March 4 in the 1600 block of Greenfield Avenue, according to reports from the LAPD's West Los Angeles Station.
The suspects allegedly cut locks on doors to storage rooms in an underground construction site parking structure and took copper wire and tools.
More than 100 copper wire theft incidents have been reported in City Council District 5 since last July, according to Councilman Paul Koretz's office.
In February, surveillance video was released in hopes of finding two men who stole copper wire from a city streetlight in West L.A.
