Organizing for a Living

A peek into the life of a Professional Organizer

The most common question I get asked as a Professional Organizer is, 'what do you do?' My short answer is that I make spaces more functional and people more efficient. My longer answer is that I'm a clutter consultant. I roll up my sleeves and dig into your stuff. I help you make the tough decisions about what to keep and what to get rid of. You know that pink blazer with the shoulder pads in the back of your closet? Yes, you know the one you haven't worn since 1992? Time to get rid of it - into the donate pile it goes!

However, purging is only the first step in the organizing process. Once we've rid your closet, pantry or entire home of all 'clutter', it's time for the fun part - time to get organizing! As a Professional Organizer, I help clients find the best storage solutions for their things. I assign homes to all your possessions, so you'll know exactly where to find what you are looking for. No more searching for your sunglasses or keys again!

Being more organized will save you time and money and reduce your stress. Organization is not a one-size-fits-all process. It may take time to find the right organizing system for you. But, once you find the right system, it will change your life.

In the weeks to come, I'll share my organizing tips and tricks with you. My goal is to help you live a more organized and simplified life.
