Worldwide Epicurean Phenomenon, Dîner en Blanc, Comes to Los Angeles This August!

WHAT: Dîner en Blanc is a chic, secret pop-up style picnic, imported from France, and taking LA by storm this August to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The event was launched in Paris in 1988 and today takes place across the globe, attracting over 10,000 guests dressed entirely in white for an epicurean feast under the stars.

Dîner en Blanc will make its Los Angeles debut on August 21, 2013. Keeping with tradition, over 1,000 foodies and cultural enthusiasts dressed in head-to-toe white will descend upon a secret location that is revealed at the very last minute, bringing with them their own gourmet picnic, tables, chairs, libations, and dinnerware. The evening will include mingling with friends, dining with strangers, live music, and dancing.

WHY:  Take part in the epic, international phenomenon that brings people together the old fashioned way - through breaking bread, or shall we say, a baguette! This très chic picnic is equal parts mystery tour, flash mob dining, and je ne sais quoi.

WHERE:  Dîner en Blanc will be hosted at a public site in Los Angeles in one of the most beautiful parts of the city where diners can "see and be seen." The location remains secret until minutes before the event is slated to start, however, confirmed guests will be instructed to meet, by the hundreds, in key meeting spots around the city to board pre-arranged transportation to the venue.

TICKETS:  Dîner en Blanc is 21+ and by invite only. The event upholds a strong tradition of specific rules. Sign up to receive an invitation and rules of participation at http://losangeles.dinerenblanc.info/.
