Week in Review: Rain Goes Away, Leaves Records

A rainy week brought record totals but there was other news as well.

The week started off with a that passed through Century City with runners suffering from hypothermia due to cold conditions.

Last weekend's storm brought totals to UCLA and Westwood—3.24 inches on Sunday alone.

In other news, we brought you the story of Los Angeles rescue workers who to help in the post-tsunami search efforts.

In crime news, a string of and a hit the Westside Pavilion mall. At the area's other mall, Westfield Century City, British designer held a store opening, while down the street developers of a touted community support for its construction, although the project is still subject to change as it is not yet approved.

Looking at the week ahead, we plan to be at the Friends of the Westwood Library's with Robert Goolrick, and the grand opening of the Sony store Friday at the Century City mall.
