Gun Control Groups Rally in Westwood

Pro- and anti-gun control groups assemble across the street from one another at the Federal Building on Saturday.

Dueling gun control groups took to the streets over the weekend in Westwood.

A total of about 200 protesters were present Saturday at the Federal Building, according to a report by KABC.

One group, organized by Moms Demand Action, a non-partisan group founded in Indiana in December, called for tougher gun laws and held signs saying "No More Guns," and "Background checks now."

Across the street, members of the South Central L.A. Tea Party supported the right to keep and bear arms without further restrictions.

The organization's founder, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, told KABC, "We are asking the government to take their hands off our guns and off the Second Amendment."
