Dodgers Host Drive-Through Donations for Brian Stow

Donations will be accepted until 3 p.m. at Dodger Stadium.

1. The Dodgers will host a "drive-through" fundraiser today for injured Giants fan Bryan Stow, with all donations going to a trust fund established by Stow's family to benefit Stow and his children. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Parking Lot 1 at Dodger Stadium. Monetary donations of cash and checks will be accepted, with checks being made out to the "Bryan Stow Fund." Contributions will also be accepted via PayPal and online at sfpcu.org.

 2. Dodger fans planning to attend tonight's game against the Giants in San Francisco may want to keep a low profile. Inflammatory messages posted on Internet sites have called for Giants fans to retaliate for the beating of Bryan Stow on Opening Day at Dodger Stadium, and San Francisco police are beefing up security there. The 42-year-old paramedic and father of two was wearing Giants clothing when he was brutally beaten March 31 in the Dodger Stadium parking lot by two men in Dodger apparel. He remains hospitalized with critical head injuries.

3. Russell Brand beat out Russell Brand at the weekend box office. Hop, a partially animated comedy about the teenage son of the Easter Bunny, voiced by Brand, remained in the top spot with an estimated $21.6 million in ticket sales. The remake of Arthur, also starring Brand in the title role, opened in second place, taking in $12.6 million. The thriller Hanna came in third.
