Zagat Ranks 800 Degrees Pizza Among L.A.'s Best New Eateries

The Westwood Village pizzeria makes a Zagat list of L.A.'s top five new restaurants.

The popular pies at 800 Degrees Pizzeria in Westwood Village have earned the eatery a place on Zagat's best new L.A. restaurants list.

The Los Angeles restaurant scene newbie came in at No. 5 on the top-five list.

"Pizza in a flash, designed by you" earns "800% approval" at this "bril- liant" Westwood newcomer from the Umami Burger team that’s "burning it up" topping Neapolitan pies with "incredible" ingredients, then firing them for "just the right amount of chew and char" ("ask for it well done"); it’s tough to nab a table in the "minimalist" space, but "insanely low" costs help keep lines "winding out the door at all hours"; P.S. the "futuristic soda machine" is a hit too.
