Skylight Gardens Restaurant Opening Thursday

The newest addition to the Westwood Village food scene opens this week.

Skylight Gardens, the newest and aptly named restaurant to take root in the historic red brick space on Glendon and Lindbrook, is scheduled to open to diners Thursday.

Scroll through the photos for a preview of the restaurant, which will serve "traditional Italian dishes with a California flair." Skylight Gardens is owned and operated by Peter and Miranda Clinco, and Mike and Helen Clinco.

(Watch for an interview with the owners on Westwood-Century City Patch this week.)

"We are proud to be family owned and operated," Peter Clinco said. "When I was young, my brother Mike and I came here with our parents; later, we brought our own families. This space played a role in nearly every significant period in my life and we will strive to meet the high standard of quality food, service and atmosphere set by our distinguished predecessors."

Executive Chef Sebastian Gonzalez (El Bulli) and Chef Raffaele Favuzzi (Pane e Vino, Angelini Osteria) developed the menu, though Favuzzi is no longer with Skylight Gardens.
