Rejoice and Shout

Come and be one of the first to see Rejoice and Shout, a film which explores the rich history of African American gospel music through rare photos, recordings, and stirring performances by Mahalia Jackson, the Blind Boys of Alabama, the Staple Singers, and more.

The film is directed by music documentarian Don McGlynn. This intense and emotional film gives viewers a thoroughly researched and behind-the-curtain look at an integral part of African-American culture. (USA, 2010, 115 minutes. No MPAA rating. In theaters June 17.)
