Record High Temps Set at UCLA Tuesday

Summer-like weather hits the Southland.

Temperatures soared into the 80s Tuesday at UCLA, breaking heat records on the campus as unseasonably warm weather was felt throughout L.A.

A record high temperature of 82 degrees was set at the school, breaking the old record of 79 degrees set on the same date in 1976, according to the National Weather Service.

Record low temperatures were set in Lancaster, with a high of 16 degrees, breaking the old record of 17 degrees set on the same date in 1966, according to NWS.

Highs on Wednesday in the Los Angeles area are forecast in the upper 60s to mid-70s.
