Metro Slates More Community Subway Meetings

The Westwood gathering is set for Wednesday, March 23.

More opportunities to learn about the proposed Westside Subway Extension are on the way this month, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced Monday.

Metro has scheduled three community update meetings for March 21 through 29 to address the subway project, currently in its environmental impact review planning phase.

During the meetings, Metro will provide feedback from its January community meetings, updates on the project’s ongoing geotechnical investigations, status of Station Area Advisory Groups, as well as project cost estimates and the status of the Century City station.

The meeting dates and locations: Monday, March 21 at LACMA West, 5905 Wilshire Blvd.; Wednesday, March 23 at Westwood United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall, 10497 Wilshire Blvd.; and Tuesday, March 29, at Roxbury Park Auditorium, 471 S. Roxbury Drive, Beverly Hills. 

All meetings will begin at 6 p.m. Content will be identical.

The final environmental review will continue into the summer when it is anticipated that the document will be released for public review.  Metro Board adoption could occur in the fall at which point the project would proceed into final design and construction based on funding availability.
