1) Free story time at Children’s Book World
This fabulous children’s book store has every title you can imagine and your child can spend hours looking around. It’s not only great to browse, but you can enjoy a lovely Saturday morning with the kids. Every Saturday at 10:30 a.m., Children’s Book World offers a free story time, book reading, or book signing. This week Ellen Switkes will tell stories appropriate for kids ages 4 to 7.

2) President’s Day discount at Kidstock
There are already so many deals to be had at this children’s consignment store. But on President’s Day if you can answer the trivia question posted on the Kidstock newsletter, you get 10 percent off. Also, this month any item that has the color red anywhere on it is 20 percent off.

3) 15 percent off at Barney’s Beanery Westwood
Barney’s is the place to go if you love sports, beer, and a huge menu. It’s also the place to go if you live and work in the neighborhood. Anyone who works or holds residence in Westwood gets a 15 percent neighborhood discount. And if you have a UCLA ID you have access to the $5 Barney’s Bruins menu. But wait, there’s more. Any UCLA staff or medical center staff gets a 20 percent discount.

4) Refund if it rains special at Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers
Anyone who bought jewelry from Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers February 1 through February 14 will be hoping for rain on Monday. If it rains a half inch or more between 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. on February 21, Sarah Leonard will refund the price of the jewelry. Forecast for Monday: partly cloudy.

5) Kids eat free at Junior’s Deli
Junior’s Deli is the place to go for a great sandwich and a great deal. Every Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., children 12 and under can eat free. Each child must be with a paying adult who orders an entrée or a sandwich to get the deal.
