Located behind the temple that overlooks Santa Monica Boulevard, the center was renovated and reopened in August of 2010. The center has multimedia presentations and special exhibits relating to the temple, along with information on family histories. A special children's area inside the center has activities and presentations for kids. Upon arriving at the center, visitors will first notice the Christus statue, a replica of the original sculpture by Bertel Thorvaldsen. Free guided tours of the center are available. The temple itself was completed in 1955 and dedicated the following year.

The original organization has more…More than 100 years of history in making music, committed to excellence and discipline. Since becoming the National Children's Chorus, the program has increased its focus on music education, including music theory, history, appreciation and movement. An additional curriculum includes courses on conducting, composition, ear training and the Kodály method. The company collaborates with professional organizations, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the Los Angeles Opera Company. Performances are held at venues throughout the Los Angeles area, including The Broad Stage and the Edye Second Space in Santa Monica. Auditions for the National Chidren's Chorus ensembles are held year-round.
