Sorabol opened in San Fransisco in 1979 and has spread all over the West Coast. It is named after the capital of the 1,000-year-reigning Shilla Dynasty of Korea. The restaurant serves traditional Korean barbecue in a fast food setting, allowing fresh ingredients to be purchased at lower prices than other Los Angeles Korean restaurants. Award-winning recipes like Kalbi (barbecued short ribs) and Dak Guyee (barbecued chicken) have made Sorabol a great alternative to other fast-food fare, like burgers and tacos. All items are made to order and prepared to the diner's taste, without any MSG. Numerous vegetarian dishes are available.
