Soleil is a cozy French restaurant on the corner of Westwood and Wilkins. Owner Luc Alarie also acts as executive chef, preparing many traditional French dishes, along with his own creations. The lunch menu offers sandwiches, with ingredients like brie, gruyere, ham, steak, lamb sausage and Bechamel ham, along with some dinner items. For dinner, customers can order pasta, like pumpkin ravioli and crab cake on farfalle pasta, or entrees, like beef bourguignon, lamb chops and pan roasted wild Atlantic salmon. Alarie's specialty is poutine dishes, which include a bed of French fries covered in fresh cheese curdes, brown gravy and different toppings, like Italian sausage, chicken, mussels and filet mignon. Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays includes crepes, omelets and several other selections. Every Wednesday night offers all you can eat mussels and French fries. Wine tasting dinners are also held here.
