Questions for City Council Candidates

Questions for those running for Redondo Beach City Council.

Good Day,

As a voter in Redondo Beach, I would like the candidates to answer the following questions.

  • Gun Control: For or against? Explain.
  • Homeless issue on Artesia Boulevard: What is your plan to help those individuals become self-sustaining?
  • Obscene commercial rental rates: Small business is the life blood of an economy; how do you plan on curbing the speculators?
  • Smoking and drinking on the pier: For or against? Explain.
  • Liquor licenses: More issued or stay the same? Explain.
  • DUI and driver's license checkpoints: Agree or disagree? Explain.
  • Parking tickets and fees charged: Reduce or increase? Explain.

Thank you and I look forward to your response.

Do you support a new power plant? Do you support Yes on Measure A?

Fred, I'm only looking for where the candidates stand on the local issues. I will be an informed voter, my personal opinion on subjects are mine. If I was running for office, I would make them public.

Gun Control is a local issue? What gun control law can the city repeal or enact? Gun control is a state and federal issue. All of your other questions are great and need to be answered but throwing a gun question in there is meaningless
