Marymount Soccer Players Honored

Goalkeeper Loren Hart Is Named to All-CIF squad.

senior goalkeeper has been named to the CIF's All-Southern Section girls soccer team in Division 4 after finishing with 16 shutouts, including a school-record 14 in a row. 

The Sailors went 17-4-2 overall and advanced to the second round of the CIF Southern Section playoffs where they lost to Riverside Arlington on penalty kicks.

"Loren has done a great job for us," Marymount Coach said. "It was nice as a coach knowing she was back there to keep us in every game. Even in the playoff game we lost she made two point-blank saves in overtime."

At the team's annual awards banquet, numerous varsity and junior varsity players were recognized for their achievements on the field this season. The varsity took second place in the Sunshine League this season and the JV went 6-0 to win it. 

 The varsity team Most Valuable Player Award went to , the Most Inspirational Award went to and and Alexander Baaden won the Coaches Awards.

 The MVPs of the JV squad were and , the Most Inspirational Award went to and , Most Improved Awards were won by and and Coaches Awards were presented to and .

Hart was named the Sunshine League MVP and , Towle, DeSantis and were First Team selections. and were Second Team selections and was Honorable Mention.
