UCLA Not Confirming Safety of Seven People in or Headed to Boston During Bombings

The university is unable to confirm the safety of seven people associated with UCLA Monday night.

UCLA officials had not confirmed as of Monday evening the safety of seven people with university connections who were either in or headed to Boston during bombings there that killed three people and injured dozens more, the Daily Bruin reported.

Two explosions occurred Monday near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

The Daily Bruin confirmed that two students in the Boston area are safe, though it's unclear whether they're part of the university's seven-person count. Another student, Thomas Curran, was registered to run in the race and is reportedly safe, according to the Daily Bruin.
