PARENTS EDUCATION LEAGUE HOSTS SCREENING OF AWARD-WINNING DOCUMENTARY Speaking in Tongues ON BILINGUAL EDUCATION IN THE U.S.

Panel of families who have experienced language immersion in local schools follows screening

The Parents Education League will host a screening of Speaking in Tongues (www.speakingintonguesfilm.info), the award-winning documentary on language education in the United States. The film, which took home the Documentary Audience Award at the San Francisco International Film Festival, follows four diverse students on their path to becoming bilingual. A panel discussion with parents and teens sharing their experiences in pursuing multilingual education in Los Angeles will follow the screening. (No children under 12 please.)
