Shakespeare and Friends, Ibsen and Enemies with Fiona Shaw

Fiona Shaw takes us on a rampage through Western theater and demonstrates through readings and commentary how language works in plays. An acclaimed Irish actress who regularly appears on the London stage, Shaw’s most notable roles include Celia in As You Like It, Madame de Volanges in Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew, and titles roles in Electra, Medea, and, recently, Mother Courage. Shaw's theatrical rendering of T.S. Eliot’s The Waste Land won her international acclaim. Her opera, Elegy for Young Lovers, has been nominated for a 2011 Lawrence Olivier Award.

ALL HAMMER PUBLIC PROGRAMS ARE FREE. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. Hammer members receive priority seating, subject to availability. Reservations not accepted, RSVPs not required.
