Move Your Body to Better Performance & Moving Clients to Wellness

Eva Nemeth, currently a physical therapy practitioner and wellness consultant and formerly an internationally celebrated gymnast and modern dance and rhythmic gymnastic teacher, will be teaching her workshop Moving to a Better Performance and Moving Clients to Wellness on March 6, 2011 from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Move Your Body to Better Performance – Targeted to those who move for a living. We will focus on the unique needs of dancers, actors, singers, musicians and other performing artists. Performers will learn about anatomy from a performer’s perspective and be given a method to understand their strengths and weaknesses through assessments of movement combinations. We will collaborate to learn to determine their personal centers and balance in new and different ways. The material offered will fill in the gaps in the case where little or no attention has been given to basic and necessary movement education.

Moving Clients to Wellness – Targeted to those who move others for a living. We will focus on the needs of Wellness Educators and Physical Education Teachers in aiding students, patients and clients in discovering tools to assess, identify and improve the movement behaviors of those they work within their practices.  These workshops help practitioners understand the elements upon which human movement patterns are designed. These back-to-basics principles and rules of human anatomy give attendees the means to make powerful changes in daily habits that lead to greater wellness. They provide a means for teachers to articulate movement patterns and to understand the importance of “neutral” (in which all parts of the body are at “home”).
