1,000 UCLA Students Relocate to New Dorm

Over the weekend, students moved out of the Dykstra residence hall, which will be renovated.

A Bruin exodus of sorts took place over the weekend as 1,000 UCLA students moved from an old residence hall, now slated for renovation, into a brand-new dorm.

The students vacated Dykstra Hall for two new residence halls nearby. Over the next 15 months, Dykstra will be renovated -- its first renovation since it opened in 1959.

The Daily Bruin interviewed alumni and current students about their memories of Dykstra Hall. Read more about that by clicking here.
