Westwood Rabbi to Speak at DNC Wednesday

Sinai Temple Rabbi David Wolpe is slotted to speak Wednesday night at the Democratic National Convention.

Rabbi David Wolpe, from Westwood's , is among the notable speakers scheduled for the Democratic National Convention's Wednesday evening lineup.

According to a Tablet Magazine report, Wolpe will deliver the benediction.

Wolpe is the night's last scheduled speaker, in the 10-11 p.m. slot. Also speaking toward the night's end are Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Elizabeth Warren. View a full list of speakers here.

According to his biography on the Sinai Temple website, Wolpe "was named the most influential Rabbi in America by Newsweek Magazine and one of the 50 most influential Jews in the world by the Jerusalem Post." Wolpe's writing has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times and The Huffington Post. He's also appeared on TV shows, including the "Today Show" and "Face the Nation." He's the author of seven books.
