Want to Run for Westwood Neighborhood Council?

The Westwood Neighborhood Council will hold elections in October. The deadline to file as a candidate is the end of September.

The Westwood Neighborhood Council will hold elections for all council positions Oct. 28 and the candidate filing deadline is Sept. 29.

The Westwood Neighborhood Council is an elected board of residents and community stakeholders that take positions on local issues and award grants to community organizations. The Westwood Neighborhood Council represents Westwood's interests to the Los Angeles City Council and Councilmember Paul Koretz, who represents the area in the fifth council district.

The Westwood Neighborhood Council will hold their election Oct. 28 at the  from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The deadline for candidates to submit a candidate filing form (see attached) for both elections is the end of the business day Sept. 28 and candidates can file online until Sept. 29.

The total number of seats on the Westwood Neighborhood Council board is 19, according to the last set of bylaws approved by the city's Department of Neighborhood Empowerment, which oversees the neighborhood council system. All 19 seats are up for election, said Grayce Liu of DONE.
