VIDEO: Californians React to the First Presidential Debate

Patch reporters all over California asked people what they thought of the debate.

We asked people at viewing parties all over the state for their take on Wednesday night's presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. As you might imagine, we got a wide variety of answers.

Some praised Romney for going after Obama and being aggressive, while others defended Obama's health care plan and accused Romney of avoiding specific details of his plan. At least one person thought the debate was just plain dull.

What did you think?

After listening to some of these people explain why they believe Obama did a good job last night fully explains why this state is in such sorry shape. These people are the very ones that have appointed the losers in Sacramento that have driven out jobs and spent their way to individual fatdom, excess and the people to poverty. May they all have a very miserable time in hell.

Debate was the most boring one I have ever seen

Once again California refuses to lead. We Californians refuse to take the road to fiscal responsibility. We elect leaders to continue to spend our great state into oblivion. All this spending and are our roads in better shape? All this spending is our infrastructure sound? All this spending and are our poorer communities getting the attention they need. We are not doing well here folks! Remember the emperor fiddled while Rome burned. Ladies and gentlemen we are the emperors and we need to stop fiddling around!

My God who are these people? That any thinking person who actually watched the debate could call it close is absurd. But it does explain some things. Romney was clear, concise and spoke from experience. Agree with his ideas or not, at least he has some and is able to convey them. Obama bumbled, stumbled, fumbled and rambled all the way through. As soon as he realized talking points and sound bites didn't fill enough time, he became confused and unable to recall what he was supposed to say. Obama (respectfully) got his a$$ kicked and he knew it as it was happening. The expression on his face was priceless! -some leader.

Obama has been led & misled by misguided cohorts in Washington & catered to by the "Press" Likeable as he is, he's NOT cut out for the job. He can use his "eye candy" better in Hollywood. Maybe he'll get his own talk show next.

I enjoyed the Presidential debate. Its certain now from Romney's response to the moderator's question who we'll have as our new president. It is so refreshing to see Romney as looked presidential n articulated all the pertinent issues facing the country. Romney gives me hope n change

That night was the first night that I had hope that this Obama nightmare could soon be over. The next day I treated myself to eating out at a restaurant and saw a movie at the theater; haven't done that in a long time since Obama took all our money.

I think we watched different debates. I watched the debate in which Romney told many lies to fool voters. Which debate did you watch?
