Sneak Peek: What Will the Subway Stations Look Like?

Metro's The Source blog is featuring renderings of the Purple Line stations.

Catch a glimpse of the Purple Line subway stations planned for Century City, Westwood and the Veterans Administration.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority's blog "The Source" has renderings of the three stations posted online.

Earlier this week, Metro released its final report on the Westside Subway Extension. In the report, Metro recommended that the Century City stop be placed at Avenue of the Stars and Constellation Boulevard, a decision that Beverly Hills strongly opposes because it would involve tunneling under Beverly Hills High School.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is pushing for a bill making its way through the U.S. House of Representatives that would fund and expedite the Westside Subway Extension. If the bill passes, Villaraigosa's plan is to have the subway open in 2022.
