3. Paramount's animated comedy Rango topped the weekend box office with an estimated $38 million. The Adjustment Bureau debuted in second, while Beastly debuted in third place.

4. In movies from yesteryear, the UCLA Festival of Preservation continues. Tonight: Satan Met a Lady and The Big Shakedown screen at 7:30 p.m. in the Billy Wilder Theater at the Hammer Museum. Both feature early performances by Bette Davis.
