Neighborhood Council Candidates to Participate in Forum

More than 30 candidates are running for seats on the Westwood Neighborhood Council.

Westwood Neighborhood Council candidates will participate in a forum Wednesday to talk about their interest in running for seats on the board and what they would do if elected.

All 35 candidates have been invited to the forum, which will be moderated by Tony Wilkinson, the area's Empower L.A. election coordinator.

Stakeholders will also have a chance to ask questions and speak with candidates.

The forum will be held at 7 p.m. at Westwood Presbyterian Church, 10822 Wilshire Blvd.

Elections will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Westwood Recreation Center, 1350 South Sepulveda Blvd. All 19 board seats are up for election. Fourteen of the current board members are running for re-election.
