Koretz Leads City Council Race in Campaign Contributions, Spending

The Los Angeles City Ethics Commission reports the latest campaign financials for City Council District 5 candidates Mark Herd and Paul Koretz.

Current City Councilman Paul Koretz has raised significantly more campaign money than his District 5 opponent, Westwood Neighborhood Council member Mark Herd, according to Los Angeles City Ethics Commission reports.

Both are running for the Los Angeles City Council 5th District seat in the primary elections to be held March 5.

Koretz has raised approximately $154,373.66 in contributions, according to the City Ethics Commission's reporting through Feb. 16. View contribution details here.

The councilman also reports approximately $93,686.60 in expenses.

Herd has raised approximately $217.98 and spent $97.98, according to the City Ethics Commission's reporting through Jan. 19. View Herd's contribution details here.

Koretz and Herd recently participated in a debate in Westwood, where they discussed a proposed sales tax increase, bike lanes, digital billboards and more.
