Eric Garcetti to Address Westwood Community Council

The Los Angeles City Council president will address Tuesday night's meeting.

Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti is scheduled to address the next Westwood Community Council (WCC) meeting Tuesday night.

The 7 p.m. meeting is the first since last week's controversial Los Angeles City Council vote to explore entering long-term leases with private operators on the city's nine parking garages including the Broxton Avenue facility in Westwood.

In addition to the plan, Garcetti is expected to speak about several ballot measures and charter amendments on the city's March 8 ballot that he is backing, including Measure I, a charter amendment creating the DWP Office of Public Accountability and Ratepayer Advocate, and Measure H, which would restrict campaign contributions by city contract bidders.

Other items on the WCC meeting agenda include drafting a motion for a preferred Century City subway stop.

The WCC meeting will be held at the Belmont Village, 10475 Wilshire Blvd. in the Town Hall Community Room. Free parking is available in the garage at the building.
