Woman Says She Was Sexually Battered at Off-Campus Party

Campus police are looking for people who may have information about the incident.

UCLA campus police today were investigating a case of sexual battery that took place during an off-campus dance party.

The victim told police she was dancing with the suspect at a dance party at 645 Landfair Ave. around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 24 when the male hugged, grabbed and sexually battered her, according to a UCLA Police Department advisory.

The female left the party immediately after she was attacked, police said.

The suspect was described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall with brown hair and an unshaven face.

Anyone with information about this or similar incidents was urged to contact the UCLA police Detective Division at (310) 825-9371 and reference case number 14-0178. Anonymous tips can be made by calling (310) 794-5824.
