UCLA Student Sexually Assaulted, Police Look For Suspect

The assault occurred around 2:20 a.m. Friday near a UCLA dorm.

UCLA police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a female UCLA student early Friday morning near her dorm, according to reports.

A man began speaking to the student, who was walking up the stairs to the Saxon Suites dorm on campus, according to a statement from the university. He then approached her and sexually assaulted her after a brief conversation, the statement says.

The student was able to get away from the man and call police. The man is described as white with short brown hair and blue eyes, about 21 years old, six feet tall, 150 pounds and was wearing a white shirt and shorts at the time, according to UCLA police.

The university statement says it is not known whether the victim knew the man who assaulted her.

UCLA police are asking anyone with information related to this incident to call 310-825-1491.
