UCLA Employe Put on Leave After Allegedly Taking 'Upskirt' Photos

A 40-year-old UCLA employee jailed for allegedly taking "upskirt" photos of female employees was placed on "investigatory leave," a university police spokeswoman said today.

Jumaane Peterson, an administrative specialist for UCLA's Anderson School of Management, was arrested July 9 on a misdemeanor sexual battery charge following complaints from several female employees that he allegedly took upskirt photos of them, according to Nancy Greenstein, director of Community Services for the UCLA police department.

"The investigation began shortly before he was arrested and is still active so I can't give many details," said Greenstein, who declined to give an exact number of alleged victims.

Peterson was released from custody and was scheduled to appear at the LAX Airport court on Aug. 26.
