"Scandal" actor Columbus Keith Short was arrested today for allegedly slugging a man in a West Los Angeles restaurant.
Short, 31, was charged Tuesday with a felony count of battery with serious bodily injury, according to the District Attorney's Office. He was booked by police in Claremont and released on $50,000 bail, prosecutors said.
Short allegedly punched a man -- knocking him out -- at a restaurant on March 15, according to the District Attorney's Office.
An arraignment date has not been set. He faces up to four years in prison if convicted.
The website TMZ.com reported that Short slugged a 37-year-old man at Gabe's Bar and Grill while the actor was attending an engagement party. The victim was knocked unconscious and suffered a broken nose, according to TMZ.
Short portrays Harrison Wright on the hit television series. The Missouri native has appeared in the films "Stomp the Yard," "Accepted," "The Losers" and "Death at a Funeral." He also appeared on the short-lived series "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."--City News Service
