Police Investigating Violent Robbery Near UCLA

A man is punched in the face several times during a robbery near UCLA's campus over the weekend.

UCLA police on Tuesday were still investigating a robbery that left one man with minor abrasions to his face after being punched several times near the campus.

Two men robbed the man of his phone, wallet and car keys while he was walking north on Landfair Avenue towards Gayley Avenue early Saturday morning.

One of the suspects grabbed the victim from behind while the other suspect punched him. The second suspect took the victim's belongings.

The victim suffered minor abrasions to his forehead.

Suspect one was described as a 6-foot black man, approximately 20 to 30 years old, with a 150-pound to 180-pound thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket.

The second suspect described as a 6-foot black man, approximately 20 to 30 years old, with a 180-pound to 200-pound medium build. He was also last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket.
