Men Rob Jewelry Store at Westside Pavilion

Three men reportedly smashed jewelry cases with a hammer and fled the mall with the jewelry Thursday night.

Police are searching for three men who were seen smashing glass cases and stealing jewelry from Zales at Westside Pavilion on Thursday evening.

The incident was reported at 8:32 p.m., about thirty minutes before the mall's closing time. The men reportedly used a hammer to break the cases and left it at the scene. Witnesses told police they left the mall in a car, with one of the suspects riding in the trunk. KCAL is reporting the men left in a sedan with jewelry valued at $130,000.

The license plate has not been confirmed, but police think it may be 6UDK307. A vehicle description is not yet available.
