405 Car Chase Ends in West L.A. With 1 Arrested
Police chase car from Van Nuys to just off the 405 Freeway in West L.A.
A man driving what police said was a stolen vehicle led authorities on a chase today from Van Nuys to West Los Angeles, where officers forced the SUV into a spin and arrested the driver.
The chase began about 10:15 a.m., when Los Angeles police officers tried to stop the 1993 Nissan Pathfinder at Magnolia and Van Nuys boulevards, according to Los Angeles police Officer Bruce Borihanh.
The motorist kept going, eventually entering the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway and then driving south on the San Diego (405) Freeway. At about 10:45 a.m., the SUV exited the 405 Freeway in West Los Angeles.

As the suspect tried to turn north on Sawtelle Boulevard, officers used a PIT maneuver to spin out the vehicle. The suspect was arrested on Sawtelle at Tennessee Avenue, just south of Olympic Boulevard.
There were no reports of any injuries during the chase.
