Sold On Westwood: At Home In A Desert Oasis
There is a simple ease in shopping in Westwood that is not true for the greater Los Angeles basin. Westwood is like a trip to the desert.
While I was walking through the Westwood village today on my way to one of my favorite markets, I started to realize that our town was like a resort in Palm Springs. Don’t laugh, I know there are not palm trees lining the perfect sidewalks or soft warm breezes blowing but there are similarities.
I had recently been complaining about how Los Angeles is getting so busy, so congested, so annoying and how in Palm Springs or the desert you could just drive up to the market, park and not wait forever and be finished without all the hassles.
Guess what, I drove into WholeFoods parking lot, no meter, no ticket to validate, just got out of the car, walked into the market and did my stuff. No lines, no waiting, no problem, I even heard birds chirping as I left the store. I browsed the village, had a steaming cup of coffee, ate some goodies and did it all without the stress of driving, parking and validating. I felt totally renewed it was just llike a vacation in the Springs!

Condominiums are a close second with 21 in escrow, the range is from $395,000 to $4,000,000.
A good indicator of things to come for the New Year and the economy.
I love discovering Westwood's secrets.
