All Roads Lead to Century City

It's Earth Day and one of the most critical aspects to working toward an improved and sustainable environment is wrapped up in something we do every day: commute.

It’s Earth Day and so people across the country are doing small things to make a difference on improving our environment and their quality of life. But one of the most critical aspects to working toward an improved and sustainable environment is wrapped up in something we do every day: commute.

We know, intellectually, that cars are a major source of pollution and directly affect our city’s air quality and we know emotionally that traffic congestion is frustrating and inefficient. However, we don’t always know how simple changes can make a tremendous difference with regards to our commute: leaving early or staying late; finding a co-worker to rideshare with; locating convenient park and ride centers; taking advantage of public transportation. Small changes like these not only help the environment and ease traffic congestion, they make your commute simpler. They make your life simpler.

Century City is in the middle of it all. We work and live at the crossroads from the Westside to the rest of Los Angeles. We are the business center of the Westside and Beverly Hills. We lie in between the beaches and the homes. We are nestled in between some of the busiest surface streets in the city. Simplifying the commute to Century City sets the stage for simplifying commuting in Los Angeles altogether. And all it takes are some small steps.

Beginning today and going through to Bike to Work Day on May 18, Commute90067.org will be giving away tons of prizes to those who log their trips on our website. Whenever you log a trip that in some way improves Century City traffic congestion, you will be awarded points. High point winners will receive gift certificates and prizes on a weekly basis.

On Bike to Work Day, we will award our grand prize, an electric bicycle, to the Century City commuter that earned that most points since Earth Day.
