Pediatric CPR and Home Safety

Join Save a Little Life at the BabySpace for a Pediatric CPR and Home Safety class like no other you have ever taken.  Remember You too can Save a Little Life.
Class begins with an essential review of how to's in home setup for the safest way possible to lower risk of many common household accidents. Next, the instructor explains - in the simplest of terms - just what CPR is and under what circumstances it may be required. This discussion is based on the most current scientific knowledge and follows the guidelines of the American Heart Association.
A demonstration of the basic skills will then follow, allowing for questions and clarifications from the participants.

Now it's your turn-Life-sized mannequins are provided for participants as the instructor guides the student in performing basic life support.  Instructors will use various scenarios in which a parent might find themselves and we will work through these with a single goal of life preservation.

Management of airway obstruction is a key component of every “Save A Little Life” course. Using the same mannequins, we will take the student through the basics of recognition of a complete obstruction and have each student perform the skills necessary to remove an obstruction.
