Robert Randolph—the exciting pedal-steel guitar player known for an effortless mix of blues, gospel and funk—presents a new project with the Slide Brothers, the legendary masters who first inspired Randolph’s commitment to “Sacred Steel.” This sub-genre was born when steel guitars were brought to the House of God Church during the ’40s to replace the traditional organ. He’s bringing the progenitors of the form—Calvin Cooke, Aubrey Ghent, Chuck and Darick Campbell—center stage for an evening of infectious, uplifting music.
