Friends of Semel Open Mind: Zoobiquity: What Animals Can Teach Us about Health and the Science of Healing
Science journalist Kathryn Bowers and cardiologist Dr. Barbara Natterson-Horowitz will discuss their book, ZOOBIQUITY: WHAT ANIIMALS CAN TEACH US ABOUT HEALTH AND THE SCIENCE OF HEALING, an exploration of how animal and human commonality can be used to diagnose, treat and heal patients of all species. ZOOBIQUITY is part of the Open Mind community lecture series presented by The Friends of the Semel Institute. Through its Open Mind program, The Friends strive to inform the community about mental and neurological disorders in order to lessen the stigma surrounding them and encourage those who suffer to seek treatment.
