Community Corner

An Enemy of the People

Ibsen's incendiary drama stars Richard Kind (Argo) and Gregory Harrison (Trapper John, M.D., upcoming CBS series Reckless) as brothers facing off for the hearts and minds of their community. When townsfolk discover that the waters of a local tourist spa are contaminated, they’re forced to choose between public safety and financial solvency. This new, critically acclaimed adaptation by Rebecca Lenkiewicz illuminates the argument of environment vs. economy that still resonates a century after the play’s debut. Also featuring Rosalind Ayres, Alan Mandell, Jon Matthews, Alan Shearman, Josh Stamberg, Emily Swallow and Tom Virtue. All performances will be recorded live in front of an audience (without sets or costumes) to air on L.A. Theatre Works' syndicated radio theater series, which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide (locally, in Southern California, on KPFK 90.7 FM) and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org. April 10-13; James Bridges Theater at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television, 235 Charles E.
