Your Weekend: Canines, Performing Arts, and a Performing Canine

Spend this Saturday and Sunday in Westwood supporting pet adoption, watching a classic play, or viewing a screening of "The Adventures of Tintin."

From the organizer: "L.A. Theatre Works records Terence Rattigan’s classic drama with Martin Jarvis (Titanic, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) at the head of a distinguished British cast. Stuck in a broken marriage and facing the prospect of a retirement with no money, classics master Mr. Crocker-Harris is a tyrant hated by his students. But an unexpected act of kindness breaks his emotional shell, bringing out the deep-rooted dignity and heartbreaking sadness that give this play its power."

Doggie Street Festival Adoption Event
Where: Westfield Century City, 10250 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
When: Sunday, June 24, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
From the organizer: "The Doggie Street Festival (DSF) to raise awareness of pet adoption returns for its fourth year! This San Diego homegrown event will expand into Los Angeles and for the first time cat rescue groups will participate! The event, dedicated to increasing dog adoption, has placed nearly 400 shelter dogs with new families over the past three years. This year’s festival will again feature animal advice, great food, cool pet products and services, along with family–friendly entertainment."

"The Adventures of Tintin" at SHOW ME THE MOVIES!

When: Sunday, June 24, 7:00 p.m.
